Wayne Klaczek is the Manager of the Pipeline Design and Construction department at C FER Technologies, a role he first assumed in 2019. Prior to this, he was the Manager of the Productions Operations research department beginning in 2013.
Wayne first joined the C-FER team as an experimental research engineer in 2005. Since that time, he’s fulfilled several technical roles and managed a variety of complex research projects, often focusing on thermal recovery, heavy oil recovery, and unconventional production.
His research has primarily been focused on performance and reliability testing of artificial lift systems for high temperature applications (i.e. steam assisted gravity drainage and cyclic steam stimulation), as well as multi-phase performance and reliability testing of various technologies for the oil, gas, geothermal, and pipeline industries.
In his current role, Wayne leads a multidisciplinary team of engineers and technical staff as they evaluate a portfolio of diverse, applied-research projects, focused mainly on pipeline integrity, offshore, and structural applications.
His team uses a combination of engineering, advanced simulation, and full-scale experimental testing to support operators and technology developers.
Wayne completed a MSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta in Edmonton in 2004.
When he’s not working Wayne enjoys reading, hockey, and building large Lego sets with his family.
