Steven Swaffield is a Research Engineer at C-FER Technologies, holding a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta. With over four years of hands-on experience in the Production Operations department, Steven specializes in flow testing within thermal and erosive environments.

He has played a key role in designing and constructing multiple multiphase flow loops, including systems involving slurries, live steam, and flammable solvents. His work supports experimental testing initiatives aimed at improving performance and reliability in challenging operational conditions.

Steven also leads ongoing testing, data analysis, and continuous improvement efforts across several experimental projects. His contributions include developing predictive models for artificial lift system failures and defining a work scope to investigate how power quality impacts electric submersible pump reliability.
