Steven Middleton joined C-FER in 2021 as a Researcher for our Pipeline Integrity & Operations Department with expertise in thermodynamics.
His experience includes developing a modular Stirling engine design and simulation tool, including the user interface, convergence acceleration algorithm, and parametric engine optimization routine.
He holds a Master’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta.
As a hobby, Steven researches the mathematics behind ecological, geological, climatic and man-made systems with the goal of developing a nearly plausible exoplanet colony survival video game.
