Francisco Alhanati is the Managing Director of C-FER Technologies, a position he has held since 2012. In this position, he acts as C-FER’s Chief Executive Officer and reports directly to C-FER’s Board of Directors.
Before he came to Canada and C-FER in 1997, Francisco spent fourteen years working with Petrobras in Brazil on applied research and development related to production operations. He has considerable experience in technical aspects related to artificial lift, offshore productions systems, heavy oil operations and reliability engineering.
Francisco received the Society of Petroleum Engineers’ 2013 Production and Operations international award for his distinguished contributions to petroleum engineering.
In addition to being C-FER’s Managing Director, Francisco provides technical advice to C-FER’s projects, mentors our research engineers, and serves on industry committees developing international standards for the petroleum industry.
Francisco holds a PhD in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Tulsa, and he is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
He and his son are black belts in Judo, and he hopes to pass along his passion for the sport to his new grandson one day.
