July 2025 Permian Basin Workshop
On July 9th, ESP operators in the Permian Basin will gather in Midland, Texas for the next Permian Basin ESP-RIFTS Workshop. This full-day workshop will focus on operator presentations and roundtable discussions on recent ESP failure mechanisms, ongoing reliability improvement initiatives, field trials, and production optimization strategies. The latest Permian Basin ESP Run-Life Benchmarking Report will also be presented and discussed.

August 2025 Workshop at SPE ESP Symposium
On August 25, ESP-RIFTS Participants will meet in Galveston, Texas for a one-day workshop in conjunction with the SPE Gulf Coast Section ESP Symposium. Operators will have an opportunity to discuss the latest failure trends, field learnings, and new technologies in an open forum.
In addition, C-FER is planning to invite guest subject matter experts to give presentations on topics such as cable reliability and condition monitoring.
New Permian Basin Data Upload
In June, C-FER received new ESP run-life data for one ESP-RIFTS Participant’s unconventional operations in the Permian Basin. After C-FER has processed and qualified the data, it will be made available for analysis on the ESP-RIFTS website and the Power BI benchmarking dashboard.
