Chris Apps is a Senior Project Engineer at C-FER Technologies, an applied research company in Edmonton.

He has a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta.  He has over 20 years of engineering experience in the areas of experimental testing, product development and evaluation.

His expertise includes experimental design, mechanical design, instrumentation, solid mechanics, external pipeline leak detection, incident investigation, safety program management, and Solidworks product data management

In almost 2 decades at C-FER, Chris has served as lead design engineer, test engineer, project manager, and project reviewer for a variety of experimental projects.

Experimental evaluation of external leak detection technologies has been his primary research focus for several years.
