C-FER integrates a variety of advanced analysis tools to model the performance of complex structures, equipment and operating environments. This includes using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to model the structural performance of equipment, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to evaluate flow, erosion and heat transfer and risk and reliability analysis to evaluate the likelihood and consequences of failure.

Often there is some uncertainty with aspects of the system being analyzed such as variability in the material properties, manufacturing tolerances and unknown loading conditions. In these cases, probabilistic methods are used to evaluate the effects of uncertainty on the model results.

Analysis projects often integrate customized full-scale tests to provide input information for the models and to verify that the models accurately represent the real-life performance.
