Alternative Deployment and Permanent Magnet Motors Workshop

On December 9th, ESP-RIFTS Participants will meet virtually to discuss their experiences and learnings regarding alternative deployment and permanent magnet motor technologies.

Troubleshooting Assistant Tool Updates

In November, C-FER updated the Troubleshooting Assistant Tool, which is designed to help production engineers with ESP troubleshooting. New features include:

  • The ability to generate PDF reports to summarize troubleshooting cases;
  • The ability to filter for relevant contributing factors and symptoms during troubleshooting; and
  • Navigation improvements.

ESP-RIFTS Workshop

On November 20th, ESP-RIFTS Participants met in Edmonton, Alberta for a one-day Technical Workshop. Topics discussed include:

  • Condition Monitoring
  • Power Quality
  • High Gas Volume Fraction
  • Cable Reliability
  • ESP Troubleshooting

Recent Data Uploads

In November, C-FER received new ESP run-life data from two ESP-RIFTS Participants with operations in offshore and unconventional applications. After C-FER has processed and qualified the data, it will be made available for analysis on the ESP-RIFTS website and the Power BI benchmarking dashboard.
