Sucker Rod Pump Production and Reliability Optimization JIP

What is the SRP Production and Reliability Optimization JIP?

SRP PRO JIP is a collaborative effort by SRP operators and C-FER Technologies to improve SRP equipment performance and reliability.

Identifying 4 Key Sucker Rod Pump Challenges

During recent discussions with sucker rod pump (SRP) operators, C-FER recognized the need for greater documentation and dissemination of real-world learnings across the industry.

Identified Challenges

  • Results from new technology and strategy trials are not always well-documented or shared across the industry
  • Technical knowledge about sucker rod pumps are scattered across the industry and may not focus on key issues for operators
  • No industry failure nomenclature standard and minimum data set to guide data collection
  • No standardized benchmarking analysis allowing companies to compare their run-life against industry peers

This Joint Industry Project (JIP) supports operating companies in their efforts to address these challenges and optimize their sucker rod pump performance. C-FER will act as facilitator and project manager for the JIP, and execute on project activities as directed by the participants.

Beneficial Impacts on Operations

By joining this JIP, you will stay up-to-date on the latest field learnings from industry peers and have the ability to quickly and effectively implement identified technologies and strategies in your own operations.

Participants of the JIP will also have access to technical documents developed by the project to support internal SRP practices.

Finally, you will be able to benchmark your equipment performance against industry peers, understand the factors driving run-life improvements, and quickly identify ways to optimize your own run-life.

Leverage C-FER’s Experience & Third-party Perspective

For over 40 years, C-FER Technologies has been bringing artificial lift operators together to tackle challenges related to equipment reliability through Joint Industry Projects (JIPs) such as:

Drawing on our experience with failures and root cause analysis for artificial lift systems, this Joint Industry Project will tap into existing infrastructure, failure nomenclature standards, and benchmarking experience developed for the ESP and PCP industries.

C-FER’s third-party perspective ensures non-biased results.
