C-FER Technologies is pleased to introduce Tom Whalen as the new Managing Director at C-FER Technologies, effective January 16, 2023.

Tom is an energy sector executive with a business startup, growth and turnaround track record built over 40+ years in the energy sector.

At Baker Hughes, one of the world’s largest oil field services companies, Tom worked his way up from oil and gas operations to Canadian President. In that role Tom set the vision and strategy and drove operations in the dynamic energy sector.

He served as interim president and CEO of the Petroleum Services Association of Canada and as an independent consultant, Tom advised boards and executive teams on structural change initiatives.

Tom is an active community leader, serving on the boards of Discovery House of Calgary and the Women in Need Society of Calgary. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Athabasca University.

We would also like to thank C-FER’s former Managing Director, Francisco Alhanati for his many years of service to the organization. Francisco will act as Special Advisor, working closely with Tom to provide a smooth handover of all business responsibilities.
