These environments are both highly toxic and corrosive.

Many materials and products are susceptible to hydrogen embrittlement and stress corrosion cracking. The risk of catastrophic failures significantly increases.

C-FER Technologies provides clients with a wide range of sour service testing capabilities that help to understand and minimize various failure mechanisms.

Our Special Environments Laboratory, is one of the world’s largest and most comprehensive containment test facilities. It can be used to test a wide range of materials, specimen sizes, and equipment in various hazardous environments.

Testing is accessible via two walk-in Special Environment Chambers. These chambers are designed to contain the testing equipment, and any potential energy released during testing.

They also are designed to contain any potential hazardous environment.

Safety is important. All sour service and qualification testing conducted at C-FER comply with recognized industry standards.

  • TM0296.
