C-FER Technologies receives investment!

On November 8, 2011, the Government of Canada announced an investment of $680,000 to C-FER Technologies through its Western Economic Diversification program. The funding will increase our capacity to support companies in the design and qualification of pipelines and oil well equipment that is used in extreme conditions.

The announcement was made by Mike Lake, Member of Parliament for Edmonton-Mill Woods-Beaumont and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Industry, during a press conference at our facility.

Contributions from Western Economic Diversification, combined with Industry, will fund the construction of unique, large-scale pipe testing systems including a new high capacity load frame, lifting equipment and cutting edge instrumentation. These upgrades will enhance the quality of the test data, improve our efficiency, and maintain a safe work environment.
