Research Engineer - Production OperationsStatus: ClosedPosting ID: Competition No. 11-012The Production Operations Department has an immediate opening for a Research Engineer, whose main responsibilities will be to assist in a wide variety of engineering assessments and equipment qualification projects. We are seeking a highly skilled engineer who thrives on the challenge posed by complex engineering problems and has the ability to think outside the box. This individual will work with a dynamic team to identify industry needs, develop technical and business proposals, manage projects, conduct the technical work (including the supervision of more junior staff) and communicate the results to clients. Projects may involve assessment of the state of the art of oil and gas production technologies, for the selection of field development strategies in challenging applications (e.g., deep water offshore, heavy oil). This includes the assessment of the technology readiness level for such applications and development of plans to address any existing technology gaps. Candidates will have most of the following qualifications: • a M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering and two or more years experience in the production operations area of the oil and gas industry, preferably in a technical support or research and development environment C-FER offers a highly challenging work environment, in the leading edge of technology, and with excellent opportunities for professional growth and for making important contributions to the industry.
