The Integrity & Operations Department of the Pipeline & Structures Division has an immediate opening for a Research Engineer.
 
The primary responsibilities of the successful candidate will be to contribute to research and consulting projects involving the application of risk and reliability analysis to the design and integrity management of pipelines and other structural systems.  Opportunities will also be available to contribute to other analytical and experimental pipeline projects.

Candidates should have the following qualifications:

• a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Mechanical, Civil or Materials Engineering
• eligibility for registration as an Engineer-in-Training with APEGGA
• solid engineering science fundamentals and a strong interest in stretching their own knowledge in a variety of engineering fields (mostly mechanical and civil engineering related)
• an interest in risk assessment and integrity management of pipelines and equipment
• excellent interpersonal and team building skills
• excellent written and verbal communication skills
• strong goal orientation and self-motivation

In addition, one or more years related work experience after graduation, would be considered an asset.
