Research Engineer - Design & Construction

The Design & Construction Department of the Pipeline & Structures Division has an immediate opening for a Research Engineer with a strong desire to work with a dynamic and specialized engineering team to address current pipeline industry technical challenges.
Reporting to the Manager of Design & Construction, the primary responsibility of the successful candidate will be to manage and help execute a variety of applied research projects involving full scale laboratory test design and execution, interpretation of test results, analytical assessment, model verification and development of engineering criteria.
C-FER has a world-wide reputation in helping the pipeline industry with the implementation of pipeline projects in challenging environments such as the Arctic and deepwater offshore. This currently involves leading edge projects in the areas of integrity management and leak detection, which are of major importance for the industry of Alberta, Canada and worldwide. This position provides a career opportunity to develop technical and business expertise in these fast-growing, multidisciplinary areas.
Candidates should have the following qualifications:
• a B.Sc. in Mechanical or Civil Engineering with 3 or more years of engineering experience
The occupational level of this position will be determined based on the qualifications of the successful applicant. Any related work experience after graduation, would be considered an asset.
